Where a visitor elects to send a message to the owner of www.waterford-music.org, via the contact form, they may include identifying information. This information will only be used to respond to inquiries regarding concerts and Waterford Music.

Analytics

www.waterford-music.org uses tracking information to determine which area of the website are visited, logs the approximate location, dates, times of site visits, pages visited, device, operating system and browser using StatCounter services. IP addresses are masked meaning the last octet of the address is hidden. This information is used to analyse how the website is used, improve how the website is designed and to optimise the technologies used to improve page load times. At no time is the information used to identify the website user/visitor.

Purpose of data collection

When a visitor requests a page from Waterford Music’s website, our web server automatically recognises that visitor’s domain name and the IP address used to access our site. We use this information to review our web traffic and analyse this to help us raise awareness of our concerts as well as assess our online outreach. We may also request your name, email address, telephone number, and postal address for the purposes of providing you with information in relation to our concerts. Whenever we request information from a visitor to Waterford Music’s website, we will clearly indicate the purpose of our enquiry before obtaining any information. We may then store this information to assist with future marketing.

Waterford Music committee members and staff may also contact customers by telephone or email to check and ensure the continuing accuracy of its customer data.

Waterford Music is obliged to hold no more data than is necessary for the purposes of delivering our services. It is our policy to regularly review all data supplied to us and use secure means to delete/destroy any data which is no longer considered necessary. Different types of data are held for different time periods, depending on the purpose of the data. If you consent to join our mailing, mobile phone, or email lists Waterford Music will continue to store and use the personal data you have supplied until you notify us that you wish your data to be removed from our records.

In the event of a Breach

Every precaution will be taken to avoid a breach of your Data, but if such a breach should occur, it will be documented, assessed as to its severity and appropriate action taken. The Data Proctection Commissioner will be informed, An Garda Siochana and relevant financial institutions will be contacted for assistance and you will be contacted to help you take steps to mitigate the risks to yourself, if it is deemed a severe enough breach as to put you, your identity, your financial means etc. at risk.
