Finghin Collins In Concert

Waterford Music is pleased to host the renowned pianist Fínghin Collins, for a concert that features gloriously melodic pieces from popular piano composers like Mozart, Haydn, Schubert and Debussy. Collins will also showcase the works of Irish women composers Elaine Agnew and Rhona Clarke, and will feature two pieces from Ignaz Pleyel, an Austrian composer and piano builder.
About Finghin Collins
Finghin Collins studied piano at the Royal Irish Academy of Music with John O’Conor and at the Geneva Conservatoire with Dominique Merlet. He took first prize at the Clara Haskil International Piano Competition in Switzerland in 1999. Since then, he has continued to enjoy a flourishing international career, as a performer, programmer and competition judge. He has been Artistic Director of the New Ross Piano Festival since its inception in 2006 and in 2023, he became Artistic Director for the Dublin International Piano Competition.
