The Marmen String Quartet
The Dr Mary Strangman Large Room, City Hall

Waterford Music is once again collaborating with the National String Quartet Foundation to host The Marmen String Quartet as part of its autumn tour.
The quartet will be playing Haydn’s Sunrise Concerto, one of the composer’s most popular quartets, whose movements echo the rising of the sun. Cellist Sinéad O’Halloran will also reveal her talents as a singer, as the quartet performs Sam Perkin’s My Young Love Was Gone for voice and quartet. This will be followed by the intense, riveting Third String Quartet by Bela Bartók and the subline final string quartet of Ludwig von Beethoven.
